Hi, I'm Kelly O'Connor.

 

Welcome! This space was created for women who may look like they’re holding it all together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, scattered, or stretched thin on the inside. You might be the one others rely on—the capable one, the responsible one—but underneath, it can feel like a lot to carry.

My work focuses on anxiety and ADHD-informed therapy for women in Tucson and Arizona who want to better understand themselves, quiet the constant self-criticism, and find a little more ease in everyday life.

As a licensed professional counselor, I help women make sense of patterns that may have been labeled as “too sensitive,” "too much," “not disciplined enough,” or “just anxious.” Therapy can be a place to slow down, sort through what’s really going on, and find steadier, more compassionate ways of moving through your life.

Therapy with me is a place to slow down, get curious about what’s really going on, and start finding ways to work with your brain instead of constantly fighting it. Together, we can explore strategies and develop a path suited to you.

I offer a brief, free phone consultation so you can ask questions, share a bit about what you’re looking for from therapy, and get a feel for my counseling style. Reach out if you’re curious about whether working together could be helpful. You don’t need a diagnosis or a perfectly polished story—just a sense that you’re ready for something to shift. From there, I’ll walk you through a simple process so you know exactly what to expect and can decide, at your own pace, whether it feels like the right fit.

A brief phone call

We’ll set up a time for your free phone consultation to get to know each other and see if working together feels like a good fit. You can ask questions, share a bit more about what you’re hoping for, and I’ll explain how I can help.

Your first session

If it feels right, we’ll schedule your first session—either in person or online. We’ll spend that time talking more about you and your goals, and may use a couple of simple assessments to help us choose a starting point and track progress.

 
Calming nature

With processing and experiential therapies, you can explore how your experiences shape your feelings, behaviors and relationships to gain insight and clarity. You will learn strategies to manage difficult feelings and overcome obstacles to bridge the gap from where you are now, to where you really want to be.

Everyone needs an objective ear sometimes. A therapist can lend unbiased support and help you process feelings and develop new thoughts and ideas so that you can start moving in the direction of your dreams.
